Dr. Om Prakash Dave

Dr. Om Prakash Dave is enthusiastically and persistently involved in NGO promotion and development of first-generation entrepreneurship in India since last 30 years with the support of National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) and National Institute of Rural Development (NIRD), Government of India. He is one of the pioneers for the implementation of concept and philosophy of entrepreneurial development in rural India. Dr. Dave obtained his post-graduate degree in Social Work and a doctorate from Indore University.  Dr. Om Prakash Dave has Teaching, Research, Training and Administrative experience with various organizations including State Government, semi Government, NGOs and post-Graduate College of Social Work. He has worked as Director in Dr. Baba Sahib Ambedkar National Institute of Social Sciences for the Implementation of entrepreneurial education and income-generating projects sponsored by Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. Dr. Dave is also working as Principal/Director of Kothari College, Indore. He possesses intensive grass root level experience in planning development strategies, coordinating, monitoring and successfully execution of Entrepreneurial Education through 200 Projects and creating self-employment opportunities for about 7500 young entrepreneurs in M.P. He has conducted a variety of research and evaluation studies in rural/tribal development. Dr Dave has been the member of the Study Team of National Institute of Entrepreneurship and Small Business Development (NIESBUD) Government of India for the finalization of the syllabus for Entrepreneurship Development in India.

Dr. Dave visited Colombo to attend LEAP V–concentrating on Development of Micro Enterprises. He has also visited various parts of the United States of America for the study of NGOs activities. Dr. Dave is associated with many national and International level non-government organizations. He is closely associated with the International Youth Centre (IYY), New Delhi for the promotion of entrepreneurial education and NGO capacity building in the country.  Dr. Dave has established NGO Bhavan as a Resource and Consultation Centre for NGOs in India. Presently he is a Chairman IISD Community College and School of NGO Management, Indore.
